This is a friendly reminder that phone trees suck.  They are inefficient and ineffective and frustrating beyond all belief.  And when they end in a voicemail box that never gets checked, its a double-whammy.

We’ve spent the last few days waiting for a phone call to schedule a biopsy of my lung and anticipating the results of the biopsy on the mass that was removed from my groin.  Well, Friday we went 1 for 2.  There is still a forthcoming biopsy on the mass (Teratoma? Tumor? Whatever?) in my lung but we did get te results of my groin biopsy back.  And its good news.

It has been reported that the mass removed from my groin was benign and, of equal importance, was removed wholly and completely. This means that there is no cancer from that mass (yay).  At the same time, we need to remove the mass from my lung and get that tested to ensure that no cancer exists from that as well.

So I guess we got some good news.  Frankly with all of the back & forth that we’ve gone through, I just don’t want to get my hopes up.  I’ll believe it when I see it.  But there has been far too much rollercoastering for me to have full confidence in good news just because its the latest news.

With that said, I really want to thank everybody for their concern, comments, prayers, good juju and generous financial donations (sike!).  But if you can keep them coming, that’d be great.  I’m not across the finish line yet.
